The thermoforming process
Thermoforming involves heating up a sheet of thermoplastic
material until it is pliable enough to be formed into a
3-dimensional shape from a mould. This is done with vacuum
air pressure or by mechanical means. Once cooled, the plastic
will retain its new shape and can be cut and trimmed to size.
