Polyethylene (PE)
Polyethylene is widely used for the plastic fabrication of consumer products such as chopping/cutting boards, stencils, and tanks. PE is common in the marine industry as it’s strong, hard, and lighter than water. It has a wax like appearance and is available in most colours and thickness sizes. UV stabilizers can be used to improve its weather resistance however it will turn the PE black.
Polyethylene (HDEP) is the high-density version of Polyethylene (PE). It can be moulded, machined, and joined using plastic welding.
