Request a QuoteWhat is Polyethylene?
Polyethylene (typically HDPE) is a versatile engineering plastic with excellent chemical resistance, low friction and outstanding toughness. It's widely used in marine fittings, cutting boards, chemical tanks and any application where moisture and chemicals are an issue.

Sizes & Thicknesses
Available in 3mm to 50mm thicknesses, in natural, black, white and marine colours.
HDPE vs UHMWPE: Which Do You Need?
Standard HDPE is the go-to for general-purpose applications — cutting boards, tanks, wear strips and marine fittings. UHMWPE (ultra-high molecular weight) is a step up in abrasion resistance and impact strength, making it ideal for high-wear industrial components like conveyor guides, dock bumpers and heavy-duty slide bearings. Both are food-safe and chemical resistant. Not sure which grade suits your project? Bring your application details to our Molendinar workshop and we'll recommend the right material.
How We Fabricate Polyethylene
Polyethylene machines beautifully on our CNC router and panel saw. We cut sheets to size, route complex profiles, drill mounting holes and weld PE components using hot-gas welding. Because polyethylene can't be glued with adhesives (its low surface energy rejects most bonding agents), we join parts mechanically with fasteners or by plastic welding — a technique our team has over 20 years' experience with.
