The advantages of Polycarbonate include good impact resistance, toughness and stiffness, Excellent electrical properties and low flammability. Scratch resistent and UV stabalised versions are available on request. Some of the disadvantages are they melt at very high temperatures. Very high heat distortion. The very high melting temperatures make this material very difficult to thermoform.

Applications - Bullet proof security glazing, general glazing, automotive components, electrical components.

  • Colours / Textures - Clear and Opal (Off-white, usually for signage purposes)
  • Thickness - Sizes 0.5, 1, 2, 3, 4.5, 6 and 9.5 mm. Call regarding thicker sizes.
