Polycarbonate
Description
Advantages: Good impact resistance, toughness and stiffness. Excellent electrical properties and low flammability. Scratch resistent and UV stabalised versions are available on request. Disadvantages: They melt at very high temperatures. Very high heat distortion. The very high melting temperatures make this material very difficult to thermoform.
Applications
Bullet proof security glazing, general glazing, automotive components, electrical components.
Colours / Textures
Clear and Opal (Off-white, usually for signage purposes).
Thickness
Sizes 0.5, 1, 2, 3, 4.5, 6 and 9.5 mm. Call regarding thicker sizes.
